Andy Sulaiman

Andy Sulaiman is known for his minimal, clean-lined, Asian aesthetic menswear. Originally from Kuching, Sarawak, Andy got his start in tailoring and dressmaking in 2004 for Tom Abang Saufi Homme. A renowned Malaysian Batik label. He was also involved in high profile local productions like Dukun, Ombak Rindu and Legenda Budak Setan, Tourism Malaysia campaigns, TV commercials and even won gold award for best costume at 2005 Malaysia Video Awards (MVA). In 2004, Andy started AndySulaiman, a menswear brand focusing on resort wear with batik motives. He had showcased in KL Fashion Week (KLFW) in 2013 since then till present, sending out male models in work-to-weekend clothing — separates that can straddle the line for many different occasions. Andy Sulaiman quote: "Everything I create will have that feeling of quality because I like the idea of people buying something and then keeping it. They might not wear it season after season, but it should have a quality so that you don’t want to get rid of it."
